Mumbai : Nehru Planetarium of Nehru Centre is announcing a new laboratory facility for the school students of 8th to 10th standards. Students can get hands on experience in doing the practical exercises given in their text books.
In order to give individual attention to every child only 20 students per session would be given entry. Any student who is interested in learning to do science experiments with his or her own hands is most welcome. The admission would be given on the first come first serve basis.
Presently the topics covered are electricity and magnetism, optics and astronomy. Other topics such as mechanics, mathematics, biology etc. would be added in due course of time.
As a special summer programme each topic would be covered in five days (from Tuesday to Saturday) and each session would last for about two and a half hours.
There will be two sessions per day –
from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Marathi
and 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in English
The programme is FREE.

Tue. May 30thto Sat. Jun 3rd - Astronomy
